Was the Saint Louis position ever filled?

I know right! I guess they didn't like our resumes!

There is still no report about Croghan leaving Kent State. Can whoever made up this rumor admit to it?
You are an idiot.
Croghan is 100% gone. He is now the field house operations manager. Ty Griffin is Cross Country and distance coach now. Croghan is out. Website has not changed coaching names yet but I assure you this is factual.
Lawson should pay a finders fee to Kevin Lucas for poaching 3 of his coaches. Admittedly, one is a Kent alum, but that's a lot.

UPike, SLU, Miami (OH), Kent State...nothing from any of these despite being posted and apparently filled.
Croghan is out and it is TG at Kent, but it's crazy the announcement has taken this long. Still, the other three were posted months before Kent was posted and still nothing...
Ooooh! Big surprise! Nothing programs who do nothing on the national level are not up to speed. How will we all survive the anticipation?!?!

Read the last paragraph. Two positions opened. Pretty sure they decided what they are going to do.

Any word on this yet? I know there was talk about Karen Harvey at one point.
I'm sure they hired some kind of JUCO PE instructor.
Welcome to Kent. Best of luck to you.
Any word on who interviewed at Coastal? They were supposed to be doing interviews this week
Feel free to scurry back to your hole. When I first posted about Croghan it had already happened. Maybe you didn't know it until the new guy was announced but that doesn't mean it wasn't true.
I admit that you are right, I am not disputing it. The main question is, how did you know back then? And what is Croghans reason for leaving? It is definitely sudden because when he was recruiting this past summer, he told the athletes that he had no plans to leave.
Coaches always tell recruits they have no plans to leave even when they do. I mean come on... I knew it was highly likley I was leaving at the end of the year but I told recruits I had no plans to leave. I am not proud of it but my AD made it clear if he heard otherwise I would be fired with cause... so I would assume most coaches who know they are leaving or hope to leave say they have no plans to leave.

I had the same thing at a previous job. When I had decided to leave, the AD told me I was in no way allowed to tell the recruits that I was leaving. They did not want to lose any of the commits (and deposits) to the class. I was even discouraged from telling current athletes.

This could be an interesting hire. I know someone that applied who had 15+ years of D1 coaching and recruiting experience, had coached in the Carolina's and was part of some very successful programs......and didn't even get an interview. So, they are looking for someone young who will not cost them much or the administration doesn't really value proven experience and success. Look forward to seeing who they have interviewed and hire.
Go Chanticleers!!
So they were a part of but not reason for the other programs success? If so successful why so many moves? What future does he have left if he has been coaching so long? Questions a school may consider when looking at your... errrr...your friend's resume.
Roosevelt Loften, please stop writing about yourself. Smh. Nobody wants you. You've been fired from 3 head coaches positions....Again stop it.
Go Chanticleers!!

Nice Try. I got out a years ago so I could spend time with my kids, rather than someone else's. I do miss the process of developing athletes and building those relationships with kids, but have enjoyed watching my kids grow, compete, perform, etc. Won't ever get those years back, so it was a good decision for me to step aside. Again, nice try. Just find these job vacancies and hiring processes interesting.
By the way, I can't speak for everyone's college coaching experience, but I have been very fortunate to work at schools that the staff was a TEAM. EVERYONE was "a part of" the teams/programs success. Everyone doing their part properly made them a "reason for" the overall success. I feel sorry for you if you have never been part of a program that functioned that way.
Still sounds like you rode other people's success. :/

Sorry your experience is unrewarding and you feel the need to bring others down to you. Your opinion doesn't really matter to me.
However, I guess you could say that I "rode on other people's success"......the athletes that were recruited and developed within the programs I worked achieved at high levels, in and out of the competition arena. Yep - because of their commitment, hard work, focus, discipline, etc they were successful......which led to my successes as well. So - you are correct.
Good luck to you. Have a great week.
