Morgan Uceny Retires

Not only is she a great athlete but I find her very attractive.

I wish her the best of luck going forward in whatever she does!

(and of course if she's not dating anyone... well)

False. Lou Duessing coached Morgan at Cornell. Artie was Lou's assistant at the time and he focused on long distance and Lou was fully in charge of the mid distance group. Now that Lou is retired , artie handles both mid d and distance.

Someone asked if I dated her? No. I barely talked to her. I had 50 guys I had to coach.

Thanks for the correction and sorry for the error - I think the Artie Smith profile I read for Uceny's senior year on the Cornell website has been updated since Uceny's graduation, as it mentions Smith coaching a few 800m runners to NCAAs and I assumed Uceny was one of them.

I am also surprised because she ran well this year. I bet Adidas dropped her, or greatly reduced her. Sad to see her retire.

I'm a bit surprised. She is only 31 years old. She has another cycle in those legs if she wants. She was only 5th at the trials this year - hardly a failure. She could even try to move up to the 5k which I don't think she has really tried for a full season. But -- if your heart isn't in it, it is time to hang them up. Congrats to her.

Always enjoyed watching her race. She was a true, hard core competitor.

Some of the assessments here are beyond ridiculous. Someone said Uceny had a "less than average" career. Really? What's average? Since when is someone who wins even one Diamond League race "average?"
