I've just graduated college and I've started a 9-5 job.
I no longer have the desire to run high mileage, since my passion has transitioned from running to my new sales job.
I want to keep running at least 2-4 miles per day, though. The past few days I've enjoyed running these miles at sub 6 pace before work.
Will I be able to keep up the fast pace if I don't do more mileage?

I went through the same thing last spring. I've been running anywhere from 0-35 mpw since then, usually 15-20. I took a couple months almost completely off from June-July; I've done few or no workouts since the spring. I can still go out and run 5 miles at sub-6 pace if I want. It's harder than before, but I still "feel" fast and I enjoy it. We are young, so it's pretty easy for us to stay in decent shape. You're not going to get slow overnight. However, I can tell you that I would struggle mightily if I had to do a hard 15+ miler right now.
slippery slope. Been there, done that. You'll go to zero for many years and gain 60 lbs. Then you'll wise up and start running again and realize 60mpw was not even high mileage.

On the basis that doing some running is a hell of a lot better than doing no running you will lose fitness - but gradually. your abilit to run fast or long won't suddenly disappear but it will decline over time and one day you will realise that it has gone completely!
But, really, are you going to go to the trouble of getting into kit etc. just to do a two mile run? I bet once you get out there those two milers turn into something a bit more substantial. As it stands you are going to spend much more time changing at either end of the run than actually running; does this make any sort of sense?
