Anyone? I know you can milk them, but after 200 miles, they feel flat.

I would say this is highly individualized. But unless you weigh 250 lbs you should be getting more than 200 miles out of shoes (except maybe racing flats).
Add another zero to that number and it's more accurate for the typical LRCer
No way! Dude I only run 50 mpw and that would be getting new shoes every month.. I get at least 450 outa my shoes... Asics GT 2000s. I know some shoes wear faster than others, but I imagine most can hold out a lot longer than 200 mpw

Doesn't the typical LRCer have lots of disposable income for shoes? I train mostly in light trainers.
Yes, my wife. Closet full of running shoes. New pair almost every 4 weeks.
I do 100 mpw.
I buy shoes every other week.
I am in the 1%.
Y'all are weak. My last pair had 734 miles on them and I was sad to see them go.
Feels bad, i gave up on buying running shoes. I've been using the same pair for almost a year now(DAMN!) I might have like 500 miles logged in them. Ill just keep switching through the three shoes I have forever. Too broke.
D2 runner here running 90-100 miles every week senior year with only one pair a semester from the coach. Those babies each got a minimum of 1000 miles out of them. If I couldn't get at least 1000+ out of pair I deemed that particular brand as junk. Brooks held up the mileage pretty well.

500 miles in just one year? I guess you're not scared of burning out. Good for you.
Yeah, Mo Farah, used 4 pairs in 5 weeks.
I ran 10mpw on and off and maybe a big week once in the summer but then got burnt out. So ya 500mpw is probably how much I ran this year.

My gf keeps buying running shoes and athletic clothing but she never exercises. She has to buy new shoes constantly becuase as she gains weight, her feet get fatter
I use 500 mi as a rough benchmark but I retire them based on feel. My weekly mileage currently is pretty low (40ish) compared to a lot of the posters on here. If I were running 100+ mpw it would probably be a different story; that's a lot of shoes...
Yeah ahaha. Especially having the Road Runners 90 day guarantee I can exchange shoes pretty quick as soon as they feel flat. About to turn in my Kinvaras tomorrow. What shoe do you guys recommend?

This is true. Even though the average LCRer doesn't have enough time be financially successful due to putting in 200 mile weeks, they all magically earn 7 figure salaries.
My father works in a hospital and they had a long run competition for old age people last month. My grandmother too participated in the long run. She is having diabetes so it was a question for us what would she be wearing. One of my friends suggested clog shoes from Salus Uniforms and they were quite comfortable for her. She came second in the race.

My feet are popping out the front sides of my shoes and if i take out my insoles you can see large holes right through. All this from regular running every day. I've broken down my shoes months ago and it's time for me to take out some duct tape to keep together and put plastic bags inside to keep water out when it rains. I'm totally not joking. I can't afford a new pair.
LRC is fascinating. I'll read a thread on Lululemon where everyone bashes it and the people who wear it. Then I'll read a thread where everyone bashes cyclists for buying the gear required for cycling. Yet, here nobody says a word to the dude buying new shoes every month. Weird.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
