Hello, any help is appreciated here. I've had a recurring problem with my lower abs for almost a year. And I am in good physical shape, including the abs. But after speedwork or sometimes after long runs, the abs are very sore and feel 'torn'. If I have to cough or sneeze at these times, I really have to brace myself. I did have a small umbilical hernia 3 years ago, so I don't know if I am more prone to ab/stomach problems. I SURE don't want to have another hernia and deal with surgery and recovery again. Would an MRI be advised for me? Most of the time the pain is manageable, but I don't want to hurt myself. Thanks for any advice!
