Hi,
I was recently diagnosed and ablated for fascicular left ventricular tachycardia (v-tach).
It's been a bit more than 2 weeks since the procedure and I feel quite fine except for some PVCs here and there.
Before my episodes of v-tach I was training for my second marathon, running about 60-70 km per week.
This is quite a rare condition (from what I read only 10% of v-tach are idiopathic and out of those less than 20% come from the left ventricle) so I'm trying to get as much information as possible.
According to my cardiologist there's no relation with running and I can resume training (easy for 6 weeks and then 'no limit') but I'm worried it may come back.
There's no evidence to date but some research suspect that endurance training can favor the development of idiopathic v-tach (e.g.
).
So my question is: did anyone have the same or similar condition and what were the implications for running?
Thanks!
