Marathon Flat recommedations

While it is technically a stability racing flat/daily trainer, I'm really impressed with the cushioning and responsiveness for such a light shoe

Puma Speed 300 Ignite. Similar to the original Adidas adios. I love this shoe for a flat. Enough of a shoe with some support, but still light.

I tried the saucony. It doesn't feel like a marathon flat at all.

I train in the 1500v2. The perfect shoe for me, I love it and I'm on my 4th pair.

I ran a marathon in the Fastwich last year. I thought it would be a stretch since I train in Hoka Clifton and was racing mile, 5k, and 10k in the Fastwich. I though it held up very well and didn't cause any problems during the race. My calves were sore the next few days afterward but not anymore than expected.

Some use the Fastwich as a minimal trainer so it has enough comfort for the longer distance.

Mizuno Hitogami? although it may be an 8mm drop shoe. It has firmer more responsive cushioning and a wave plate

I'm waiting on a pair of Streak 6's to be delivered. I'll let you know - I got a pair already but they were super small - need at least 1 size bigger than normal.

Yeah, they run super-small. It's imperative to be aware of that, especially in the toe box.

I do not understand why Nike cannot get sizing right across its array of running shoe models. I mean, really. If you wear say a 12, you should be able to wear that in everything from Pegs to track spikes. It would make ordering so much the easier.

streak 6 is a 8 mm drop. Also they tear easily, like within a couple hundred miles you'll start seeing rips in the upper. Something to consider if you train in your flats before the race.

If no training before the race, he could run 8 marathons in them!!

Nothing about the Hyperspeed 7's? They are dirt cheap right now in RW.

Apparently the Streak 6 is uni-sex, which is probably why.
