There is a freshman at my school who ran 20 - 30mpw with us during season most likely less like ~10mpw he maybe showed up to practice consistently for maybe 4 days at most and he skipped the first three weeks fully.(he was the worst slacker on easy days and skipped practice a lot on hard days.) he skipped indoor for reason that dont matter. he told us he was doing 50mpw a couple weeks ago and he did 60-70mpw this week with no injuries....wtf thats so dumb and stupid. hes not lying either he showed me all the runs on his watch and he said he got advice on this site from people on how to do it. So how do you? he didnt build up like 5% an stuff he just kept bumping it with no injuries.
i cant even do 45mpw without some injuries and little complications so it doesnt make sense someone can just blindly keep adding with no injury doe s it? Is there a way to do it without getting injuries? all he said was he does doubles and a workout in the afternoon as well as eating a lot more. I tried it for a week(30 to 50mpw) and BAM another bad runners knee case as well as horrible groin pains. so what advice did he get here that allows him to do this?
hes catching up quick if we were on Xc season he would be our 5th man right now and he can already beat my time of 5:03 mile as his workouts indicate. I dont want him to beat me since im 10th on varsity and that would boot me. what should i do?
