Fast ones!!!!!!!
I was there. That dude is an animal
Who the heck cares? If you're a distance runner, run the marathon. Get better at it and beat the Kenyans. Ohhhhhhh, you can't? You're tooooo slow??? Okay, go run longer... Ohhhh you can't beat other people at the 50k cause you're toooooo slow? Okay, go run longer. Ohhhhh you can't beat people at actual 50 milers with elevation??? Okay, go run flatter. Loser.
Poor logic.
Can't beat the Jamaicans over 100/200m, can't be the Americans over 400m, can't beat the Kenyans over 800-Marathon.

Animal? His 5k/10k bests on athlinks are 15:44/33:41.
That's 5:57 pace, y'all.
This is what all you 19-minute 5k trolls are running for 3.1 miles.
Try it for 50
That's quite fast, especially on a treadmill!
A guy from my work was bored on a business trip and went for a super long on the treadmill in the fitness center. Dude said he ran "like 50 miles" and it took him "like 10 episodes of the Big Bang Theory." Potential challenger?

Minus the commericals, the average sitcom is only 22 minutes. If he watched 10 episodes, that would be 220 minutes, which is 3 hours and 40 minutes.
I wouldn't say your co-worker is a challenger. I would say he needs to quit his job and focus full time on running. 3:40 for a 50 miler? Dude is impressive.

Why are we taking out the commercials? Netflix doesn't carry Big Bang Theory and no way this dudes bringing his Big Bang DVD collection on a business trip, let alone to the fitness center and stopping mid-workout to change disks.
More likely it was 2 episodes of Seinfeld, 4 episodes of the Big Bang Theory, 2 episodes of How I Met Your Mother, and 2 episodes of Family Guy. Including commercials were talking 5 hours which would make for a great race between him and our current WR holder. With the right competition and maybe a faster paced sitcom such as Gilmore Girls, I've got my money on business trip guy.
Why are we talking about his running potential and ignoring the much more impressive performance in that he sat through that much Big Bang Theory?
He doesn't look that sweaty, although I guess it is hard to tell. Was he sweating all over the place like I do on a treadmill?
He kept wiping down w a towel through out the performance. I can't imagine staring at a wall for 5 hrs while knocking out sub 6 min miles

Wait a second.
Has Jacob Puzey also been running around in Flagstaff?????????????????
http://www.jacobpuzey.com/2015_04_01_archive.htmlIt is just another Flagstaff Ultra-runner coincidence (e.g. Rob Krar, Jim Walmsley, Jacob Puzey).
Is that a surprise?
No.
It is not a surprise.
I hope there were a few Zumba classes or yoga to watch during that ordeal
