The real question is how soon will she totally annihilate the the distance WRs?

Do you think she has a shot at taking down any of Zola Budd's records?

:)
Only pb of Zola she will have trouble bettering is the 1500/mile. 3000, St-10000m this young will shock many with her pb. Almaz maybe the only reason she don't get world records at 5000m and10000m. Almaz can run sub 29 10000..
Vipam, what do you think about Gidey of Ethiopia. Two times world Junior champion at cross country. She will be ruling 5000m on Shangai next week, along with ayana and Obiri.

2015 2000m World Youth
2016 3000m World Jr
2016 Berlin Gp meet
and followed Ruth Chebet under 2:57 1km wr pace at Zurich.
This little girl is really a phenomenon! When Ruth Jebet improved her best last season from 9:15 to 8:59, I thought that was the greatest improvement in women steeple chase we would see in a very long time at that with anyone in a sub 9:20. But boy, I was wrong! Celliphine just smashed her PB, improving by more than 19 seconds! And she is still very young.
My prediction is that before the season ends, she will take down either of Ruth Jebet or Hyvin Kiyeng or take them both down for a win. What a move that would be if she does it in London at the world championships!!! And we could witness the youngest world champion ever in this event! By the way her name may have been Selly Chespol but with the advent of Cellphones, her parents decided to change the name to Celliphine.
That was a great race by her on Friday. I recongised her name on the start list thanks to this thread. One to watch.
You really think she could be the first woman under 14 and 29?
If Almaz or the 2 take defending War x champion Don't beat her to it, then definitely. All 3 are capable only 2' will ever do it.
If you don't mind my asking, what country are you from, Vipam?

You're no stranger to throwing out doping accusations when it suits you (usually something racial with you).
Also, you can't deny Africa is full of age cheats, that's an undeniable fact even if you keep your fingers in your ears when it comes to the rampant doping issue among top names.
Why do trolls follow a sport and athleres they appear to hate? Get a life and find something you can look speak positive able it in your lame rants. Cellphone is doing her like no other female junior steepler, go do you

She's not a junior though. She's a cheat.

And you know this how?
You don't.
Just because SOME African runners may take advantage of a less regulated system of birth documentation doesn't mean there is no such thing as an African junior athlete.
Just because she ran fast doesn't mean she's overaged. Many WJRs are not far off from the WR. Many athletes are in their prime as juniors. It is a established fact that many female athletes hit their athletic peak at a pretty young age, starting as young as 17 or 18, some even as young as 15 or 16 depending on physical development (Does Sydney McLaughlin look her age? Not a chance.). Look how many US high school female studs peak earlier and never perform the same even in college.
Aside from all this, if you honestly don't believe that this girl doesn't look 17/18, then I really don't know what anyone else can tell you. Once again, you might try your hand at following spelling bees are building birdhouses or something.
And after typing all this I just realized your handle is trollism, which means this was probably all a big waste of time.
http://www.makingofchamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/IMG_2781.jpgTrollism, again you pissed out of the pot.
You continue to speak with conceit and arrogance about something you don't know.
You have reason when say that in Kenya and Ethiopia there are many age cheaters.
You have also reason when you say that in Kenya there are athletes doped.
But you show how blind, racist and prejudiced when speak about specific facts that you think to know, instead you don't know anything about them.
All your assertions are syllogism, but don't have anything to do with real evidences.
Do you know what is a syllogism ? It's a "deductive scheme of a formal argument consisting of a major and a minor premise and a conclusion (for example, "every virtue is laudable ; kindness is a virtue, therefore kindness is laudable"). But it's also a subtle, specious and crafty argument.
Using syllogisms, you refuse the evidence of individual differences, and individual behaviors.
If you had the opportunity to meet Celliphine Chespol, without knowing who she is, you could suppose she was a young girl not still 15. When I saw her for the first time in a cross country, I was surprised she competed with juniores, since I supposed she had to run with the category of 13-14 years old.
I write for you some syllogism, hoping you can understand how stupid they are :
1) Jemima Sumgong is doped, Jemima won Olympics, therefore all the winners in Olympics are doped
2) EPO (according to Renato Canova) doesn't work with the top athletes with proper training born, living and training in altitude ; the top athletes are Kenyan and Ethiopian ; therefore the thesis of Renato Canova is that EPO doesn't work for ALL KENYANS
3) Trollism is American (maybe, I don't know) ; Trollism is an idiot ; therefore all the Americans are idiots.
Coach Don't waste time responding to trolls they crave attention. Our time should be spent talking and enjoying athletes like the amazing junior Celliphine. My only question is not if but when will she lower the WJR below 9 minutes, this season or 2018? Will her talent overcome her inexperience and allow an 18 yr old make the Kenyans women's 2017 World steeple squad?
Can't wait until 2020 Olympics, I bet she with 3 more years of training she is ALOT stronger and double. Many will say no but if the steeple can be run with the 5000m -OR- 10000m she WILL try it and give Almaz a run for her money.

Seriously? Me, a racist? That is so rich, coming from the resident nostalgic-for-empire Brit.
Ignore the trolls. Anyone betting against Celliphine running sub 9 minutes in the steeple and sub 14:40 5000m this year?

Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
