I am seriously pissed at Dick's Sporting Goods right now. I tried to order a soccer goal for my kids for Christmas on Cyber Monday. The website said it was in stock and ready to ship. Shipping was free due to Cyber Monday. So I order it along with some other items and all seems fine. I get the confirmation email, projected delivery dates, etc.
So Tuesday comes and I get an email saying the soccer goal is on back order. Whomp Whom. So I call the customer service line and talk to a representative who tells me it doesn't look like it will be available before Christmas. So I ask her to cancel the order. She says that she will cancel it but cannot confirm that it will be cancelled before my credit card is charged. I ask what she means. She says that because other items were ordered, Dick's might charge my card for the whole order and then I'll have to do a return on the goal. WTF?
So I get on their online chat at the same time and as that person what to do. She tells me she'll cancel the order immediately. The entire order has to be cancelled. I said "fine."
Today I get an email from Dick's telling me that the goal is in my shopping cart ready to be purchased! WTF again? Do they have it or not? WTF is going on? Are they charging my card or not? I cannot get confirmation as to whether my order was cancelled. No one seems to know what is going on.
