Does OTC Elite not exist anymore, or was Mac Fleet dropped or did he leave? In other words, is Mac Fleet update?

Expect a short documentary in black and white on it shortly, complete with aerial drone footage set to music.
word on the street is that Mark Rowland got fired by Nike. unsure who is taking over or if the club will split up
Online social media indicates he's left OTCE and has been training in Colorado the last few months. Get the impression he may have gone back to Powell as his Instagram just says Nike athlete now rather than OTC.
Hopefully he gets back in 2017, very talented guy and could be one of the contenders to make the Worlds team if he stays injury free.
Anyone see Fleets interview on flotrack after winning the 1500m B heat at Stanford.
Said he is on a 12-18 month plan with higher mileage and what worked previously (presumably under Powell) to correct all the bad training habits and stuff he's been doing the last 2-3 years.
Was that a direct dig at Rowland and OTC? Seems like he chose to leave rather than being dropped by OTC and maintained his Nike contract.
Anyone have an idea who's coaching him as he seems like a nomad now just moving around altitude locations and training solo? He's an outside 1500m guy for future championship teams I chr can sort things out, hope some more articles come out about his comeback or Letsrundo an article on as he's a 2 x NCAA champ and very talented guy.
I talked to him and his dad at the trials last July. He was still deciding on if he was going to stay or not. He was having a huge issue with his allergies in Eugene. He was constantly not feeling well, and he did not like the side effects of all the allergy meds he needed to take, so he often didn't take the meds. Generally between feeling sick all the time and injury issues that kept coming up, it was not working out for him. Something changed from graduating Oregon (where he ran successfully) and moving to the OTC group. What, I don't specifically know, as we did not discuss it. Not the only issue/reason why he ultimately decided to leave but it was a big part.
Fleet got on the thyroid meds
I too have heard Rowlands is out.
Who takes over though and when is the timing for such a move?
Mac Fleet was done at OTC because he stunk.
Allergies weren't a factor when he was racing well in college in the same environment; not enough heart at this next level yet.
Sometimes getting dropped is the motivational lightbulb an athlete needs?

It's not the coach. It's the self entitled "elites" without the required desire, heart, or willingness to do what is required day in and day out. The priorities are very, very tangled up.

Rowlands? Don't think so
Correcto Mundo, didnt bother the dude in college.
Maybe he just didn't make the transfer from college to the pro's, not everybody makes it no matter the talent level.
Its time to think about life after running...
Unless you know Mac, you can't say allergies weren't a factor when he raced in college. They may have not become a problem until after he graduated. I never had any allergy issues until I hit my early 30s. Now, whenever I go to Eugene in May/June, I have big issues even with taking allergy meds. He stunk because he was always dealing with health and injury issues. If you don't train well, you won't race well. I can't comment on his motivation issues, but again unless you know him, were part of the group, etc. you can't comment either without making things up. 2nd or 3rd hand gossip is usually never correct. It is easy to speculate and make stuff up. Maybe it was a issue of heart, but that is your opinion unless someone who actually knows what happened (maybe you do) comes forward to confirm it.
I think he tweeted something about the pollen in Eugene being too much for him, and he was headed back to S.D.
I can comment on whatever I want. You're not the boss of me big guy!

Mac is being trained by Terrence Mahon, of BAA.
Lauren Johnson, previously also of OTC, has also joined BAA.
Interesting that Terrence has picked up both of these OTC castoffs, albeit for very different motives.
He's not as smart as Kip Litton or Mike Rossi

BAA is a nice b level team giving opportunities to non "a" level athletes.
Terrance is great coach and will develop these athletes to their best potential.
"a" level is OLY team, world champs team, diamond league scorer, world ranked types.
3.38 last night.
No interviews yet, is it confirmed he's being coached by Mahon now? Interesting he's getting back up some good form now, would love to see him start challenging Jenkins and the other domestic guys just behind Centro!

Seems like what he's doing is really paying off. Just off his PB in May. I think he's gonna have his best season yet this summer.
Who’s coaching Fleet now?
He’s been spending a lot of time in Mammoth with Andrew Kastor’s group, is he part of MTC under Kastor now or out on his own with no coach or sponsor anymore?
