If you mean 60 minute runs at 5:00min/mile pace then yes, I agree. Knocking out my morning 12 miler in 60 minutes gets me ready for the day.
Why even bother getting out of bed if you are going to run this slow.

Instead of sleeping, I just run through the night. My nightly 8 hour 50 milers leave me feeling invigorated. Just don't try to run with me at night. My safety RV driver doesn't like to have to look after 2 of us.
Lol

I like to finish my runs by 3. That way I can still squeeze in gym time, work on my dissertation, and catch up on all of the latest news before I head into the office.

If you post about how good a morning run feels I can't wait until the first time you get laid to see the thread you'll start then.

I usually try to get mine in by 2, just to be sure I have time for swimming and cycling before heading into the office.
I usually run around 11:30 because I work for myself and can run whenever I feel like it.
I hate it when I get the runs early in the morning and I didn't have time the night before to get toilet paper.
This has been a pubic service announcement.

FYI: 94.7 % of the world's population uses the metric system.
5:00 pace (min/km, obviously) = 8:03 min/mi.
I bet it doesn't feel as good as a 5k pr.
I defenitively aggree with your thesis, mourning runs really do make me fell good too. But I just can't fall asleep that early, not being used to going up before 7:30. I probably could if i made it a habit and went to bed that early every night, but being 21 years old going to sleep at 9 on the weekends is like hell no...
@5:00 refers to the time in the morning... The comments about 5 pace being fast were just jokes...
running in california in shorts and t-shirt year round is a good timeyou are choosing to live where you do and you know it......you sound lameif you can't fix it, don't complain about it. TIP: only talk about the weather if it's in a good way. You are classic midwesterner"Don’t knock the weather. If it didn’t change once in a while, nine tenths of people couldn’t start a conversation."

The metric system must make it so much easier to do things like put a man on the moon, right?

You think that NASA uses the imperial system?
America's prefered units don't mean shit if the organization that accomplished your bragging point used SI units fam.
Doing a 4-5 easy miler after 9pm in the dark feels the best mentally, it's so peaceful and you can really enjoy the feel of the run. It's a different feeling than running in the early morning, that feels good physically. I wish I could always double late at night but it's not good for sleeping and recovery.
The focus of this thread has been jokes and stuff but I want to throw out the fact that I rarely feel good before, during, or after my morning run.
