Hello All,
I have done a fair amount for my labral tear in my right hip. First I did PRP, that didnt do anything, that I know of.
I then tried Synvisc which is a lubricant, that made a big difference for 3 months.
I then booked my Stem Cell operation in Denver Colorado with Dr.Pitts at Centenno-Shultz clinic. They are part of the Regenexx team. The stem cell has made a big improvement. I had the operation 4 months ago. I am still doing active rehab, PT and seeing a natural path. I have a right rib and my neck has some issues which takes up a big chunk of my rehab too. I am going to get another PRP injection into the hip, I feel like the best chance to get to 95% is to tackle it head on. The only kicker with going the route or prp, stem cell etc is that it costs a fair amount of money out of pocket. I live in Vancouver so flying to Denver was expensive, it was a full week there. My thoughts were if your going to go and get it done, make sure to get it done from professionals that only deal with Stem cell, prp and prolo.
The alternative is getting surgery on a labral tear, from the experts in Bc it was a 33% chance is gets better from the surgery, 33% it gets way warse, 33% nothing happens. Oh and the recovery is 6 months of doing everything right.
