Has anyone else ever had gluteal atrophy on one side?
It all started when I got a very tight hamstring where my leg would like spasm out, but I stupidly kept running on it anyway. After about 2 months of that, I started feeling like I was limping and no one could find out what was wrong with me. I always though it was something wrong w/ my hip or hamstring. But then a year later I found out that its my glute that's not firing and is very atrophied compared to the other one. Just standing I feel a difference and all my weight goes straight to my quad. I had to stop running because it feels very bad. I've been doing glute strength exercises, but it appears its going to take a long time to feel normal again. Just squeezing my glute is hard.Feels like I'm the only one whose ever experienced this.
