Terrifying. The kid looks young too. None of that grown-man-at-15 stuff.
Look out everybody...

Yeah but look at the guy next to him
It'll be interesting to see what he does in his sophomore year.
Sub 45 seems likely. And I wouldn't be surprised if he threatens/breaks Lyles' 20.09

We'll see what happens with his muscular development over the next few years. And 45-low seems like its a pretty magical barrier for high school athletes. The few underclassmen who've run sub-46 never seen to improve much. Darnell Robertson whats the only who has ever cracked it and he was running against pros when he did it, if I'm not mistaken.
But this kid looks like he's still very early on in his physical development. Maybe he'll be the one......
You are aware that he was a 16 yr old freshman, right? He looks 16. And he looks old for a 9th grader.
Talented but a year or two older than most of the kids he races.

Fine. He's 16, not 15. Most freshman are 15 by the end of the year.
And he does not look old for a freshman, unless your baseline is those kids who don't hit puberty till junior year. He is clearly still maturing in his build. Still small-framed and thin.
And he has run 45.23 in the 400 meters AT 16 YEARS OLD.
He might be older than kids in his grade but he races kids who are 2 and 3 years older than him.
I have no clue what his high school was thinking(and I don't really care), but I checked out his birthday and it's 10 days before mine. I'm a highschool junior XD. Also I'll second the comment that who cares if he's old for a freshman, he's running against older kids anyways; and he runs a FREAKING 45 SECOND 400m! That's incredibly good for any high schooler.

No kidding if he was a college freshman running 45.23 he would still be a huge stud. The real question is how good is he at football? What are the odds he focuses on track.
Was this new to you? We have been seeing this kid dominate ever since he hit the national scene. A year behind bud.

I read somewhere that Roy Martin's 20.13 is still the high school record because Lyle's 20.09 was not in high school competition but Lyle did set the American Junior record. But, wasn't Webb's 3:53 set against non-high school competition?
Will be interesting to see if he can get Obea Moore's sophomore class record of 45.14.

No he doesn't. He competes at a varsity level. If anything, he generally races against older kids.
buuuuuuuump.
Just broke the high school 300m NR by running 33.03 indoors at Washington.
For comparison, Noah Lyles ran 33.18 last year.
This kid has Bolt-esque talent.

Kid will be 17 during outdoor track season. As a soph. Not as bad as say, Cheserek, but still, 1 to 2 years older than most sophs. Fantastic talent, but wtf is he doing in 10th grade?

He's 1 year behind.
Over 70% of normal sophomores should be 16 midway through outdoor track season. This goes by the kindergarten starting ages accepted by over 45 states, and the assumption that an equal distribution of birthdays exist across each day of the year.
I don't know what it is with these boards, but they seem to think that all normal HS seniors should be 17 through the end of track season, like German Fernandez and Jim Ryun. Only a minority of students fall under this group, with the majority being 18 at this time, thanks to the kindergarten cutoff dates that have remained mostly consistent for 25+ years.
Jesus, I remember when Xavier Carter stunned everyone winning 3 events at Arcadia as a senior(100m, 200m, 400m). This kid possibly could've done that as a freshman.
He has to be the most talented sprint talent since Bolt. That range is rare.
The kid ran 61.xx today in the 500m. Banked 200m indoor track. Kid has range. Could be a world class 800m runner with that range/speed.

He's retarded. Just one or two years retarded, though, that's why he was held back. He's catching up.
