does anyone actually know what the deal is? Letsrun f***ing sucks, you try to get a question answered and everyone uses the thread to bash someone.

It is true. He had been planning to run the 8-K in New York, but a knee problem wouldn\'t go away and he decided on surgery. He did not tell me the details of the injury.

Thanks you for all you've done for US distance running Alberto. You really are the answer to all our troubles. Your work with Dan Brown is a great example. Once again, thank you.
shit happens
I've met Alberto about 5 times in the last 25 years. That must mean my 18:14 5K was drug aided, right? Gimmee a break--what have YOU done for US distance running lately?
yeah he coached a guy to the olympics and one of the best seasons an american distance runner had. yeah reprimand him for that too.
Any idea when he had it?
Any idea what kind of knee problem?
Yea, when Brown fades away you will still be singing Al's praises. He is the greatest isn't he. I feel real bad for Dan trusting this person and getting burned just like others.
Who is Dan Brown? Brother of Jon Brown?
Bump for unanswered questions, which are quite good.
Trust me on this one: Dan Brown is going to have the best year of running in his life.
He needed to take a break anyway, and from what I heard, the surgery was very successful and he's back training already.
Dan Brown needs about 1 month to get into sub 28 10km condition. He has that much talent and a HUGE engine, physiologically and psychologically.

What is your opinion on performance enhanced surgery for someone who is perfectly healthy? Is that cheating?
Who the hell is this Dan Brown?
I think he wrote "The Da Vinci code and "Angels and Demons".
Dan is part of a long line of accomplished runners like Jim Ryan,Lassie Viren and Bill Rogers.
Oh, yeah, and the newest phenom: Dathan Ritzenheim.

I still didn't get an answer, but that's pretty damn funny.
Here Lassie. Here.
My God I can't even spell his name correctly anymore. I am losing my F****** mind. Too much time in Thailand.
