Moved up through field to get 4th place. The livestream was great except for missing Curtis's finish -- they went from the top 3 to the lead woman and cut back to the finish to get the men after Bobby.
Go Nova!

Congrats to Curtis, but that has to be the most frustrating part of marathoning - you give it your all year, after year, and may not improve your time. 2:11:20 is stout.

Nice job Bobby. Always impressed with the Hansons approach to the marathon. 16th at halway. 4th at the finish.
Come on boys. How about praising Lindsey FLangan for finishing 4th in the women's race?
She has moved top #4 in the US this year with her 2:29.28.

2:11:20. Bobby Curtis -- Nice effort at Frankfurt to close out the year. Matches his PR.
Unusual to see a runner in this social media age keep things quiet. I had not seen anything about him since his 10th at the 10K trials.

Halfway splits for the Americans.
Curtis was 16th at halfway in 64:58. Flanagan went out in 1:14:38 and was 8th at halfway.

Man I'd definitely be pretty bummed if I matched my PR by the second like he just did. Great race nonetheless though! Really good pacing for him taking 12 spots in the 2nd half.

In terms of world rankings times this is cruel joke.
Placing at the games Rupp and Ward salvage the piss poor times.
Oh yea, Cutis was just about one mile in distance behind the winner today..

Yeah, 3rd and 6th in the Olympic marathon would have been a disgrace in the '80's

Considering that the American times to this point for the year are virtually all from the terrible weather of the Trials and Olympic Games, you have got to take them with a grain of salt. In good conditions, the Trials times would have been a lot faster and obviously they were not going for times this year.
Bobby is looking for a World Champs Marathon slot.
