It was a link to a photo of Alabama Governor George Wallace blocking the door of the University of Alabama in 1963 in an effort to keep certain individuals from registering for school. While Wallace had state troopers backing him Attorney General Robert Kennedy had National Guard Army troops.
My post was to show that the situation questioned "Cram it" has already occurred in this country- not only with Wallace in Alabama but also in Mississippi where James Meredith lost his life for simply attempting to enroll at Ole Miss.
A post may be deleted but history can not. Nor do the masses learn from it.
I was taught that the folks involved were wrong. Have I been mistaken?
No. Wallace, the Board of Trustees that supported him, the folks that elected him, the residents of Mississippi with the same agenda, and prior to that the school board in Little Rock, AR were wrong. Sadly it takes federal government intervention to force change.
(I do see that this user name would make me appear pro-Wallace, that is not the case. It was selected only because I read it on a bumper sticker)
