I ran my last season as a college athlete 8 years ago, and I never thought to text my coach after practice was done. I did use email if something came up, although it was a work email so I didn't expect an immediate response.

So you are 30 and in all those years, you still haven't figured out how to add links? Sad.
Yes. I'm a college coach. I will get texts from kids, trainers, academic advisors, alumni that could start at 6am and end at 11pm. I don't always reply to those extremes.

I am in my early 50's.
I was not texting at all 8 years ago. Now I text a lot- not just with wife and kids, but with other mid-50's friends in my current city and around the country.
So the athletes have not necessarily changed- but the behavior has changed, because texting and the immediate response it (sort of) demands is much more common now.
Nope. The world has stayed exactly the same over the last 8 years. College will always be just as you remember it.

I would never think of texting my coach because he doesn't own a cell phone.
That's not true. He just got one but you always mess the workouts up and he's tired of hearing it from you.
