No. These subs are everywhere. It's a hidden warfare, well known to everyone. That you've seen them makes them look amateurish.

No the west coast ones are the ones to worry about.
I read recently that the advances in stealth have made most of the world's submarines undetectable. The US and others are throwing lots of money at developing unmanned subs to track the opposition from their departure ports....once they are out to sea, we can't find them.
They've been there since the 1960s, at least.
The U.S. has tons of nuclear subs everywhere.
Worry about Trump having authority over them.

and they can't find us.
Son, there have been Soviet and now Russian nuclear subs off our coasts for decades. They've even made a couple of movies about that including a comedy. If your dad is acting like this is some new or shocking revelation, I hope he's not in naval intelligence.
So?

Ask him about UFOs. The confirm for us there are UFO Submarines hiding in the oceans.
I also heard a former NSA agent say that there were WMD in Iraq, but by the time we got there they had been moved to Syria.
Believe what you want.
One ping. One ping only.

I assume you are asking if you should be worried about your father. Yes, you should be worried. He is nuts.
Ваш отец ничего знает. Он дурак.

Pretty sure you can still see them if you look at them. Like the OP's dad did.

He'll be perfect as HRC's Secretary of Defense .
Well, what are we waiting for?? We should bomb the shit out the the Atlantic Ocean! Bomb it til it glows! Goddam Reds.
Is your Dad a stoner?
There are also U.S. attack subs whose only job is to follow one Russian sub. They play a cat and mouse game and have even collided on occasion. There is a great book about this and other Cold War sub missions called Blind Man's Bluff.

Why? He can't just magically circumvent congress and nuke people.
