Hello! Running a half this weekend and it it supposed to rain. Would wearing knee high compression socks make things worse? I know that typically more clothing is worse in the rain but I didn't know if compression fit into that. Should be low-to mid-50's temp wise.

Why not just post Compression Socks every hour or so?

Look for a little gore-tex rain coat for your compression socks. Keep them dry but breatheable.

I've worn compression socks in heavy rain during long training runs on trails. The purpose was to keep my legs from getting as dirty . It didn't seem to bother me at all.

Try it out. Soak your socks in water and go for a run. I'm serious. The effect will depend on how much water they hold.

Exactly. Have you never run in the rain before? Have you never run in the rain in compression socks? If you haven't, then just like everything else: Don't try it out on race day. If it's still warm where you live, run through a sprinkler as often as you can with your socks and keep running. If not, this man above me said it correctly: soak dem socks and run dem miles.
works fine unless it's really pouringif it were me i would rather be sure to have no extra wet weight on my legs than the questionable benefit of compression socks disclaimer: i do wear compression socks in 1/2 marathons and fulls (1:13 / 2:33)
