I kept training off and on until I was about 26, ran a 1:14 half and 2:43 marathon. Ran about 10mpw in 2015 and zero miles for the months January-September 2016.
I tried to run again earlier this month, and I couldn't do 2 miles at 8:30 pace without stopping.
I started doing a Galloway method, and within 4 weeks I just time trailed a 5k in 16:48.
I used to scoff at Galloway, but his method is sound and many would be better runners with it.
