In cross country skiing, Petter Northug won both the sprint and the 50k at the world championships. The "sprint" was about 1.5k, so it really wasn't a sprint, but this still would obviously never happen in track. However, the fact that all four rounds of the sprint take place on the same day changes how things play out. More aerobically gifted distance type skiers who didn't necessarily place near the top in qualification usually get stronger as the day goes on.
Who would win the 1500 in track if four rounds took place on the same day? Imagine that there is a qualification race at 9am, where athletes time trial individually starting every 15 seconds and the top 20 move on to the next round. After a 3 hr break, there are 2 knockout rounds and a final, with only 6 eventually advancing to the final. There is only a ~20 minute break between knockout rounds.
I am guessing that Kiprop would still do very well, but maybe Farah could win? Rupp could be fast too.
