2:00 is better than 4:30 so you're probably not going to be as good at the 2-mile as you are at the mile. 4:30 is equivalent to 9:40. So you've basically got to drop 30 seconds in the 3,200 this season. Not impossible as it's high school, but rather improbable. It depends on what sort of training you did to run 2:00/4:30; if it was very little, then 9:20 is more likely. If you were already training hard, then it will be much more difficult to make such a big jump.

More about last year-
I ran 4:30 off of no base, started in the winter (no XC). It was my first year of track ever (junior year). Ran that with an inconsistent 30 miles a week, did some good workouts towards the end. A fair amount of unnecessary days off tho haha. I'm all in now though, 100 percent committed. I don't miss days anymore.
