I am 18 yo right now, so my next season is my last u20-year and probably the last change to race bigger championchip-races.
I ran a 9:43 for 3 k out of base phase (30 mpw at 7:10 - 8:00 pace) in Mai this year.
I had chronical problems with my stomach, so I werent able to push any races to the limit since than.
Without those problems I thnik I was in 9:35 and 16:45-50 and 35:40 shape with 2 intervall-trainings per week and 30 mpw.
(+ strengh training and cycling 2 times a week)
I got injured 3 weeks ago so I did my season break.
Now I am starting to prepare for 5k and 10k races in April.
I would like to run 10k under 35:00 and 5k under 16:30.
What training strategie would you prefer?
My plan was to increase mileage from 30 to 40 and start with threshold training and some strides, because my threshold is about 3:42-3:44 right now and therefore to low.
But I dont want to become too slow for mid-distance. I would like to be able to run at least 2:07/800m
