In 1984 Peter Snell predicts 3:40 mile WR, Bannister 3:30, Jazy predicts 3:43

The mile world record holders talk about possible improvements in the mile record, which is 3:47 at the time. Herb Elliot seemed to think faster times than Coes (WR at the time) were doable with more grit. Snell went out with 55second averages for 1/4s for a 3:40. Jazy wins the prize for being correct with his 3:43 prediction.

Ryun predicts near 400m world record pace and carry it through to 1500 (I think that was the furthest away from the truth and maybe indicates Ryun was a speed guy)

Bannister goes for a mad one predicting a 3:30 mile.

Nice chat with Bannister and Coe at the end. I think Coe was a little kind with the 'seconds per lap' addition showing respect. Nice little chat about intervals. I gather Bannister did next to no distance work.

Supermilers is literally the oldest, cheesiest, corniest documentary I can think of, and it is absolutely my favorite. 11/10, Peter Snell's whole section and Jim Ryun's stupid hair cut make the entire thing worth it in my book.

Coe actually says, "half a second per lap", then quantifies it by saying, "on a day like today, (wet, windy, cold, badly kept track) 2 or 3 seconds".

Yes he did EH, it was almost like he was trying to give mroe respect to Banister though. I know it 'd be slower in the cold and wet, but still
