Sounds like your application was a success, and you are still apart from the program.
Check your status at NYRR.org...download in Registration/Races your Bib number/Registation. Mine has changed from thousands (it had me as a corral and a number in the thousands last week) to a 200 level number and now says sub-elite as my start corral. NYRR should be sending out notifications this week about sub-elite.
