If you had to run a marathon ASAP, how long would it be before you were able to run one in under 4 hours?
I'm in good ultra shape, but I just had a fairly large dinner, so I'll say I'd be able to toe the start line in 5 hours

Cool story bro.
Under 4 hours? I could do that on about 5 minutes notice. I would imagine most people here could.

Almost all posters on here would claim they could. I would say it's more like 50/50 on who ACTUALLY could.
Start the clock now. I can get my running shoes, shorts on and run a sub 4.

Dude, regardless of how much I eat, it takes about 6 seconds to tie my shoes...

I ran a 2:41 yesterday on a whim. No specific training. Just my regular walking around shape (50-80 mpw every week for the last 4-5 years) So, to answer your question: 0 seconds. I am LetsRun.

I forgot to add that it was 90% humidity, warm, and windy when I ran the 2:41. So make that answer -10 seconds.
