Not sure why an announcement was made. It's been on the USATF National Championships schedule for months.
Non-Olympics should be spread around to small towns. They deserve respect. Happy for AlbuturkeyNon-Olympics should be spread around to small towns. They deserve respect. Happy for Albuturkey.

With generally low attendance from USA's top athletes to the US Indoor Championships, and no World Indoor Championships this year, I'm surprised anyone is even remotely interested.

USATF is working on a new program where they pay top athletes quarterly stipends, in exchange the athletes have to agree to compete at USAs if they are healthy. They do want to beef up athlete attendance in off-years like this.
I've been exactly once, 2012, it was perhaps one of the worst places I've been for a track meet. As much as I have despised the 300m American craze, I'd rather have it at Spire than Albuquerque.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
