Is it an accepted fact that college cross country courses are short? Looking at results for various xc and track meets it's obvious that the xc courses must be short considering there are people who are doing roughly 5k pr pace (on a track) over the course of a "6k" xc race (clearly in regard to girls). Just seems highly unlikely that all of these courses are truly 6k from a common sense standpoint.
