Has anyone ever had blood sugar levels dip low and then shoot high when racing
First of all it could be a mistake by taking the sample (drop of blood) while you are exercising. The first drop should be discarded and the second used.
Glucagon, adrenaline, noradrenaline, growth hormone and cortisol (slowly) increase blood glucose during intense exercise.
Having said that, the blood glucose should remain relatively constant during exercise.
