Without saying too much on this board, let's just say there is a reason all of the women are the ones transferring.
Not that I'm a genius but the academic demands at a Top 10 school such as UO is brutal. Not every kid can handle the coursework at a school like UO.
Wrong it's because they can't handle the collapse of Duck Football.
Because they make the student-athletes take lame jock courses with no career earnings potential.

Good one, very solid troll attempt.

Yes, yes, we know women are quitters and crybabies, but the OP wants to know what specifically is it about Oregon that this is happening?
$$$$$

seems legit
In general female athletes are sketchier than male athletes and transfer at a higher rate. So it's no surprise that more female Ducks are transferring. It's also why the Ducks get a lot of female athletes transfering into the program.
If the coaching was not excellent they would not consistently finish top five in cc and track as well as produce so many all americans. I would presume that some of the transfers do not measure up and want to get out of such a competitive environment. Regardless, high performance distance running is a survival of the fittest proposition. The uo bashing on here is actually a testament to the excellence at uo. If they actually were failures they would not be the source of such envy. It started in the 60s and continues still......

And champions like clockwork
From what I've heard the UO Athletic Department has a Plantation Mentality and won't let the kids talk to the writers, tweet, or post personal facts about themselves. Most of them grew up the center of attention, many in big cities with massive media machines. They can't stand the prison environment at UO.
I am not close to the program in any way, but it could be that they get tired of being walk-on or small scholarship athletes when they could get scholarships or even full rides from other schools or mid majors.
Scholarships? wrote:

Come on, they can get no show jobs to cover all the costs.
I think it can be psychological. They're the queenbee in h.s. then come to a high pressure program and are invisible if they don't excel at a national class level, then they sulk in their crappy dorm room through a cold damp winter, eat too much in the cafeteria, can't improve over h.s. marks in the spring, then its on to the next one, a choice somewhere warm and sunny where the coach will blow wind up their skirt until they start underperforming.
Chicks, man. The curse of Title IX.
There are many other programs across the country who could do a lot more with that level of talent.
For all that Oregon and Stanford get year in and year out they should be winning everything.

Part of the greatest dynasty in any NCAA sport in men's Ivy League history. Please don't blame me ;)
We're having to moderate this board pretty heaviily. If you have inside info, please email us.
