Klowns are cool. The best choices are:
Pennywise, the clown from Stephen King's "It"
The Joker, Heath Ledger version.
Your wife is correct... you are wrong. People are acting paranoid crazy about the scary clown craze. Just Google it. While chances are he will be fine I personally would not risk that someone panics and does something stupid... or says something harsh to ruin his fun.
You're right, wife wrong. Clowns will be all the rage this year. I say let jr join the fun, and park your car in the garage for the night.
Could someone explain, in short, the whole creepy clown thing?
A bunch of perverts/pedos/idiots are dressing up as clowns and scaring people and kidnapping all over Merica
I say go for it. Lots of people will be going as Time Kaine and Hillary Clinton this year.

Casper the Ghost-Klown. Like it.
I have a killer scary clown outfit that I will be wearing to Halloween parties. Some of these parties I might be walking to depending on wear they are located.
Now if I fool around on Halloween weekend on a college campus and as a goof maybe just standing and looking is that a big deal. I think it would be funny.
I mean its college for christs sake.
These college kids chasing pranksters in clown outfits are nuts!!

And hearing something HARSH/ would traumatize him to the extent that he would slip a few points on his SAT. Potentially catastrophic.
