Just did this workout averaging 2:35, just wondering what sort of 5k shape I'm in right now based on this workout?

Definitely low to mid 16's.
14:30
2 min rest is long (if standing or jogging), so I say 16:00-16:40. If you did the same workout with 2 min rest at 5:30-6:00 min/mi pace, then under 16 easily.

So if he did the same exact workout much slower, then you think he'll race faster?
He meant that if he had run the rest at that pace (5:30-6) in addition to the listed workout it would bode well for sub 16.
You ran 6400m in segments with some rest between and are asking what your 5k time will be. Do you see the lunacy of the question?
Run the distance and now you have a base mark to compare future efforts.
Classic problem with runners these days....run every distance except race distance and want to know what people think they will run in the race.
No, it's a reasonable question. If you haven't run a 5K recently and your fitness level has changed, it can be difficult to know what time you might be capable of running. The penalty for going out at too fast a pace is pretty steep. So people try to compare experiences with other people who have run similar workouts.
For my recent HM, my first, I didn't post a question, but I did look up prediction threads and saw what kind of workouts people who ran in the area of 1:25-1:30 were running. Those threads convinced me that I could aim for 1:25 and I set my pace plan accordingly, and crossed the line right on target.
Plus the OP deserves some credit for asking on the basis of a reasonable 5K workout, rather than his easy run pace or a complicated ladder workout with hill sprints mixed in.

17:45Ish
Well 2:35 is low 16 pace so about 16:30 I'd guess.
if you did the same workout with 1-1:30 rest I'd say sub 15 possibly

Depends on whether you are a 800-miler or 5-10k guy. If you are the latter then 15:55s, but if you are the former 16:10-30.
I have done this workout myself with 60 seconds rest averaged 2:32 including the last one at 2:27. I believe I should be a low 16 runner(not done it yet). 16:15-16-20. have split this in other races
no chance of sub 15!
I mean I do find shorter distance workouts easier despite starting at the longer distance races like the Half and full marathon. But I'm still relatively new to running and discovering my best distance.
PRs
Mile - 4:42
5k - 16:39 (trained through and had to do another lap at sub 18 as training)
5mile - 28:03
10k - 34:54
10 Mile - 57:09
HM -1:19:13
M -2:49:47
If I was the OP I would go do 3 miles at 5:30 pace see how it feels. If this feels easy set off at 15:59 pace for a 5k, if it feels hard then set off at 16:30 pace. This is presuming you have been honest with your rest times during this workout.
I did a similar workout last year.
I ran 6x800m averaging 2:24 on a grass track with 90s recovery.
What do you guys think this indicates for 5k?
it was last year - you missed your peak. sorry about that. -_-
Was the rest standing? Was the workout on flat or over hills? Did you get slower as the workout went on or did you remain constant? all these factors play into your 5k performance
Good lord. Ignore the critics. This is a pretty standard vo2max workout that should give you some indication of your 5k shape. The work to rest ratio is basically right on, and these are typically done at 5k pace.
The main limiting factor in the usefulness of this as a predictor is that at your pace, 800m is short enough to push through without reaching too deep into the tanks. The fact that you did 8 intervals instead of 6 offsets that some. Still, I would err on the higher side of the predictor range and go with 16:10-16:20.
If you did 6 x 1000 at 5:10 pace with 2:30 rest, or 5 x 1200 at that pace with 3:00 rest, or 4 x 1600 at 5:10 with 3:30 rest, I would go with 16:00-16:10.

If you had to estimate?
14:55.
Do the correct predictor this is a waste of time
This is pretty much a Yasso 800 workout, which means a 2:35-40 marathon, which means 15:50-16:20 5k.
