Hello All,
I am a head track coach for the first time of a pretty big school in NJ. I was thinking of fundraising soon, and thought to myself that gofundme would be so easy. However, I never really see school teams using gofundme. I have seen teams heading to New Balance Nationals use gofundme to raise money for their trip, but New balance nationals is not a school function and does not have to be approved by the board of education.
When people share GoFundMe on facebook it does very well, so I feel like it would be so much easier and successful than an ordinary fundraiser such as selling candy or a car wash.
Does it look tacky for the school? Maybe a parent on the team could make it and then donate the money to the track and field program?
Thanks
