Is this normal? It was a rather low dose (0.5mg) and I took it due to some fairly serious relationship issues. Is it supposed to make you really tired? I feel like I used to feel back in HS Spanish class when we'd spend 70 minutes listening to the teacher conjugate verbs on the blackboard. Fighting the nod off...

I am starting to wonder if I misjudged the dosage. Could it have been 5.0 mg? The pill was basically the size of an average aspirin.
5.0 mg is still a pretty low dose, right?
.5-1mg is a normal dose. If you aren't used to it 5mg would probably knock you out. I seem to remember even the .5mg of some generics being pretty large though. If it's your prescription and not something you got form someone else chances are it's .5mg and that will still make you a bit sleepy if you don't take it often.
Thank you. I called home and my wife verified that they are 0.5mg. Just really tired. Not sure I like this feeling, but I can definitely say these would help me sleep if I was ever having issues sleeping due to anxiety or stress.
The one thing that everyone who takes Xanax has in common is they are all completely nuts. Congratulations.
Careful with that stuff, it's extremely habit forming and very difficult to wean yourself off of.

Not really nuts, at least I don't think so. I just have a boss who is verbally and physically abusive and I needed something to get me into the office today. I cannot afford to lose this job as it is a ridiculously good opportunity and pays very well. I just need to outlast this guy and "pay my dues" as some other co-workers have said.
I will be careful not to take it anymore unless I am really, really in need. I got it from a friend who is a PCP and thought it might help. I seem to be back to normal.

If you had a bad night and did not sleep well you will likely feel sleepy. If you get a full night's sleep you should be fine.
