I'm having a problem with my right hamstring, and not sure what to make of it. It is in a state of contraction almost all day. I can consciously relax it, but as soon as I stop thinking about it contracts again. I notice it while at work (desk job), while driving and while watching TV. It is not just tight or sore, but fully contracted. I'm not injured and haven't had such an issue before. I'm thinking possibly a nerve issue? Anyone experienced something similar?
Sounds like a cramp. Regardless of what it is exactly, I would seek out an A.R.T. practitioner.

It's impossible to do so either you do not have a hamstring problem or as mentioned earlier ....you are full of crap.

I've dealt with similar things with my hamstring. There is a nerve that serves the hamstring that leaves the spinal cord at around the L5 vertebra. If your vertebrae are not lined up properly, or you have disk degeneration or herniation, that nerve might be pinched, and you feel it only in your hamstring.
I had a chiropractor crack my back once and relieve me of 10 months of hamstring misery in only a few seconds. I'm dealing with something like it now, but it might involve disk degeneration, or not. Got the MRI last night, so we'll know by next week.
I recommend a chiropractor.

Aw hell no! Hell to the no. This is not the time for pseudoscience. See an actual doctor. Not a pseudoscientist chiropractor. Your family physician can refer you to a neurologist or otherwise if they can't fix it themselves.
