Previous 5k PR came 2 weeks ago 18:09 on a relatively flat course in good conditions. Today's workout included a 20 minute tempo in which my splits were 6:08, 6:06, 6:00, followed by 4 400's with 400m jog recovery; I hit 84 seconds on 400m reps.

I also did a 2 mile warmup and 1.5 mile cool down. Overall, the run didn't really feel difficult until the last 30 seconds
I say if you stay healthy and drive tempo workouts to sub 6 you could be a 17:10 guy
That would be awesome! What is the best way to achieve this goal? I typically go out slower than most on my first mile, pass a lot of people on the 2nd mile, but then have trouble on the 3rd
