Coming back from 6-8 month layoff.
Running regular workouts with a local high school XC team in the afternoons. Includes Long Runs, Tempos, Intervals (basic Daniels' 5k plan). Running these with a group that has realistic paces for me, not what I was doing before the layoff.
Also, three mornings a week, I am running with a heart rate monitor, 70-75% of Max HR, from 45-75 minutes. I do the morning HR runs barefoot (or in extremely thin soled shoes to run "barefoot style") to strengthen my achilles, as these HR runs feel VERY slow right now, and I want to make sure I am getting something out of them besides just the aerobic benefits.
Too aggressive? Or sound about right?
