With all the doping and TUE (license to cheat) , most people have lost faith in athletics. Even hard core fans. Lets hope anyone that needs TUEs is not allowed to compete in the future.
Let me come back to Kenennisa. It is hard to say we have seen anyone like him. A true great of the sport. A true talent. Those of you that compare him to Mo are deluded. Those of you that do not believe he is clean , no one can change your mind. But know this, he did not pop out of no where at the age of 27. He was savagely beating completion from a young age. There wont be an athlete like Kenennisa for another 30 - 50 me think.
I for one, do not believe Mo is clean and do not put Mo in the same class as Bekele. I laugh at those who do.
Having followed this sport all my life and being an Ethiopian dissident living in London ENGLAND, I know a lot about Mo too. At best, I thought Mo would win a silver or bronze at a commonwealth. Not world God, Olympic Golds etc. I know he was less than average before he joined the Nike Oragon Operation. The people that have made an average runner like him to world class are the ones that killed the sport. It will never be the same again for as long as whatever they give these guys is not detected. For s long as there are sponsors like Nike.
Anyway, am happy today. After all he has been through , it was great to see Bekele win. It was great to see he still got it. It was great to see, there is much more YET to be come from him. More strength to my fav athlete of all time!
The best!
