So I am currently a junior in college. I took 2 years off from track for family reasons. and my plan is to try out for my D1 school this year but ended up pulling my groin and waited until it was better to contact them about walking on, but by that time the tryouts were over. Now my best jump is 34 3 feet And walk on standards are 38 scholarship is 40. I have no doubt that I can get that with training of course as I only jumped a 34 because I didn't get any real training in high school (we worked on single leg bounds for maybe 5 minutes of practice) and haven measured my jumps since then. Now my plan is to join a club team for the indoor season so I can get my mark up. Im hoping to be able to walk on that far in the season or even next year. But I also have an even bigger goal in mind the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. I know with my marks it is a gigantic task seeing that i basically need to increase by 10-15 feet, but im completely willing to put in all the work and effort it takes.
