He went to Penn State. I assume he's on the cross roster, but I don't actually know that. He may be redshirting or simply not racing XC. He's obviously more of a track guy.

That explains everything. Wasted his future.

yeah, they really ruined Cas Loxsom, Robby Creese, Brandon Kidder and Isaiah Harris.
Well, he's on Penn State's roster so he hasn't completely gone off the grid. And he was never amazing in cross anyway, I'd think that track is the focus

Never heard of them.

How did they do in cross country? Gondak strikes again.
They just put 3 in the top 13 at a loaded Griak meet to place third as a team... Great day for PSU XC!

Results?
Penn States first runner was 42nd. That must have been tight grouping to get them 3rd? Or did you mean 3rd from last?

The women did. The men weren't so hot.

Anyone who asks if someone is update is a loser.
calling it a "disappearing act" when you have an 800m runner in the first month of his freshman year xc season, in which the championship distance is 10k- that's kind of ridiculous. Maybe you didn't know that lots of talented first year guys redshirt, and other good 800/1500 guys might not emphasize XC.

Even ignoring the fact that Slag is a mid D guy and we're talking about XC, I don't understand why LR expects good runners to instantly be stars as soon as they step up to the next level. In no other sport do fans just assume that a top high school performer is going to be a college star (or even a contributor) from day one. No football fan anywhere watched the first week of college games and said "X was great in high school. Why didn't he have a 100 yard rushing game today?"
If Slag places at NCAAs in track next season, good for him. If he doesn't, so what? The dude is a freshman and has plenty of time to develop into the collegiate athlete he's capable of being.

Kid graduates, we don't have any race results or news in the ensuing 2-3 months and you freak out like he's moved to the other side of the globe? He's a freshman 800m runner. Do you think he can run any faster than 25min for 8k? Let alone 32min for 10k? Why would he be in any XC conversation at the moment?

He should be able to run 24min for 8k.
Here is reality:
Michael had an injury after Pre and shut down his season.
It wasn't properly diagnosed until the middle of July
He arrived on campus having not run all summer
He is back up and running distance right now preparing for track
Hope that answers everyone's questions.
