What's going on LetsRun family.
Just a few short things about me. I ran cross country and track for a college for my freshman and sophomore (first semester) year and decided to come back home to go to a local university and focus on academics. I loved running there, it's just it was tough balancing running and grades, at the end of the day, running isn't going to pay the bills...
In the time I was there, I became a somewhat decent runner. I only ran 2 years of track in my life, high school and freshman year college; and ran 6 years of xc throughout high school and college.
Anyways my pr's are:
800-1:57
1500-4:13
5k-16:22
8k-28:02
So not that great. I like to think that I am more speed minded, but still do wish to do better in the 800,1500 and maybe 5k. Do you all have any tips as to what kind of training I should do in the pursuit of a sub 4:00 1500 and hopefully (Lord willing) a sub 3:50 1500, sub 1:52 800.
Btw: I am a bigger framed guy. 6'4" 180lbs 21 year old, if that helps the forum at all.
Anyways any sort of advice and training tips would help a ton, especially for those who have achieved these times. If you could, break it down from the offseason, prep stage, and race stage and how many miles/ week would be beneficial.
Thank you all so much!
