I recently shipped my 110V Cybex750 treadmill to a 220V country with an unreliable local power supply. The treadmill is plugged into a low-quality drop-down voltage regulator that is plugged into the 220V wall.
When I plug the treadmill in each day I usually blow a fuse and also the machine will say "Out of Order" a few times and needs to be turned off and on a few times before I can make it work. But eventually it will run steady. The machine ran beautifully back in the States a few months ago, and was recently refurbished.
MY ISSUE: Today I couldn't finish my tempo run because 6:15 pace felt like 5:45. Now there's plenty of reasons for me to suck today, but I want to blame it on the machine.
1) Could too much voltage be speeding up the machine so it runs fast?
2) If the street voltage varies DURING my run, will it affect the machine pace?
3) Is there a chance I am ruining the motor?
