So I feel like guys move up in distance pretty often. What about moving down in distance? I know it probably is a lot harder and that's why people don't do it. But I'm sick of being a 5k/10k guy and want to be a miler or even an 800 runner, but let's focus on the mile.
Me currently: 6'0" 151lbs, my PRs are - 800 - 2:05.6, mile - 4:29.7, 5k - 15:24. 10k - 32:02. I have ran 90 - 100mpw for the past three summers. I am a senior running for a small D2 team, but will be doing a 5th year and would like to move down in distance. I can't break 58 in the 400.
How do I make my training that of a miler?
