My left side is not as fast/strong. This is very noticeable during strides and faster running.
What should I do to help balance everything?
Will it eventually work itself out?

I'm thinking the opposite. I don't even feel the imbalance during easy runs. It's noticeable only when I pick up the pace significantly.

PT, if you can find one that isn't a hack.
hint: you won't find, because they are all hacks.
a lot of people are trolling you, but i would start with everyday for a 1minute balancing (eyes closed) on your weak leg. if you can't maintain it that's okay, just get to a minute or more if you can.
Also, i would make sure you're warming up well, you easily could be failing to activate that side of your body.

thanks dude
You might have a leg-length discrepancy.
I think I do. I never thought of this as a cause. What should I do to help with it? I'll do some research.
One side is always weaker, our bodies are not symmetrical. My left eye is weaker than my right.
Did you use to skateboard by any chance?
Do you favour a side to sleep on?
I bet it will work itself out the more you run. If that side is weaker it will be doing more work every time you run since you use both legs. Think of barbell training. If one arm is weaker it's always going to be the more tired arm until it's as strong as the other. Takes time as the weaker arm has to recover more until it's stronger.
I always used to get shin splints in my left leg but now it's as strong as my right.
