I'm posting in hopes of any helpful information. I'm looking to run a fast half marathon, this is my schedule.
Currently I'm not sure whether to maintain mileage and to increase the easy run pacing as well as the tempo and intervals, or to basically run the same pacing and increase the mileage.
Most runs are at a fairly easy pace. While my tempo or intervals are usually pretty tough but not overwhelming to the point where my recovery is affected.
Warm-ups, preventatives and dynamic stretches happen always before and usually after running as well as other training.
Intervals are performed as the following: 1m hard and 1m relatively easy atm.
Full-body weight training is usually twice a week.
Core is usually 4-6 times a week.
Crosstraining happens every couple of days.
Strides are usually 50-150m meters on flat or hilly grassy areas.
Mon- 6m.am at 8:00. 4m.pm at8:00 10x strides
Tue- 8m at 8:00.
Wed- 9m (tempo 3m 8:00. 4m 6:30 2m 8:00 altogether )(intervals 3m 8:00. 1m 6:15 1m 7:30x2 2m 8:00) 15x strides
Thu-8m ez 8:00
Fri-15m long run 8:00 10x strides
Sat-8m 8:00
Sunday is rest day XD
