Watched Saving private Ryan which is on Netflix this month. So this got me thinking. If you go on a run while on morphine, would you feel anything? I think a 3 minute mile would be possible if you do this.

Buy some heroin and try it.
As a former heroin addict, you definitely still feel pain when running or exercising on opiates (heroin gets converted to morphine in your brain). Granted, I was an addict, so your body definitely gets accustomed to the effect of the drug, so I think it doesn't have as strong painkilling effects as it does at first, but you still feel pain and tiredness. It just bothers you a little less.
But I felt like exercising on them led to nausea a lot of the time, too.
its a cns depressant tho
A kid on my HS team tried popping Tylenol before races. He sucked just as much as he did without the drugs.

There's good evidence that this works.
Morphine doesn't block pain, it activates other receptors that leave you not worrying about it as much.
I know OP is trolling, but it would also kill any motivation you have.
If it had a benefit, it or another drug of its ilk would be part of doping regimens.
Drugs work.

I've run and lifted on a variety of opioids including morphine. Provided the dose is not excessively high, it does indeed make a hard workout seem easier and more enjoyable. One finds opioids, and opioids + amphetamines or/and cocaine used in a variety of different sports and training and competition aids. In pro cycling,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nalbuphinesince Dan Duchaine popularized it in the 90s. Tramadol, which has both opioid and stimulant (think of Effexor & Vicodin having a baby) properties is widely used in many sports--esp. cycling--as a training and racing aid. And so on..
You always run on (endogenius) morphine, that's the sole reasonable purpose in running.
