Hi Guys,
So here's a bit of background. I have been relatively inactive for about 2 - 3 years and have decided to get back to full fitness. Iv been smoking, drinking and eating terribly. Two days ago I decided to change and change now.
My goal is to be 100% fit and ready for my Rugby League season in March next year. Last time I was this fit and playing was when I was 19 and this sport requires very high fitness levels. I am now 23.
Yesterday I did a beep test to measure my current fitness levels and scored 6.8. Far below my old scores.
My question is what is the best way and training methods to get back to where I once was and is it even possible after such a sedentary lifestyle.
I have recently been doing previous exercises that u used to do though am experiencing dizziness immediately after halting exercise for about 5 - 10 minutes. Should I be concerned?
Is HIIT for me or should I ease into it a bit slower after these dizzy spells or is it normal? I really want to drastically increase my v02 by seasons start and would appreciate any advice on how to do this.
Cheers guys.
